I have chosen not to go along with the scrapbook idea I had before. I don't think it would look very rock so I left it out. Ive also decided to go against my previous draft plans. The others all involved a Union Flag/Jack and I thought it would be to much to look at as the readers just want to read this section.

Updated Front Cover Draft
I have a whole new front cover for my magazine. I have kept the same ideas and similar fonts but moved everything around and i have a new image, which is not out of focus.
There are still some other problems with my magazine. The fonts for example. I have used the same font (All Ages) twice, which doesn't look good at all and the "Plus" section is not easy to read. In the coming days I will address this problem by changing the fonts and I will post the updated version.
I Have changed the fonts. on the right hand side and I have also changed the colours. I have therefore made sure the audience can read it. Another problem I had with the colours was that the didn't stand out. To make the text stand out, I needed to step away from the colour scheme and add more yellow. I also did this with my contents page.
Contents Page Draft
For my contents page draft I have not used all of my own images. This is because I couldn't find enough models and separate locations to shoot various pictures. Two of them are my own images.
When I was doing some research into magazines similar to my genre (NME, Q and MOJO) I found that they used around 6-8 images per contents page, unless it was a special issue. I decided to follow this convention with my contents page.
I have also made sure I followed the same colour scheme throughout (this can be seen in my front cover and double page spread) so that the whole magazine reflects the best of British idea.

1st Contents Page Draft
For my contents page I have chosen to keep to the colour scheme used on the front cover of my rock magazine "Anthem". The red white and blue has been used but i thought that black text was better as its generally used for all types of media and I thought that's an important convention I should follow. I have also decided to use the yellow and black colour scheme on the articles about Reading and Leeds because those are the colours the festival(s) use.
I chose to do 5 images for my contents page (not yet my own images) because images in a contents page are mainly used for the main articles and more than 5 main articles seems excessive.
However, the text is not fully clear and that needs to change. To do this I may have either change the font or make the text bigger. To make it bigger I may need to delete an article or two but, that would mean my magazine would look empty. Another way would be to move the main articles across and onto the matching images that way no articles are deleted and the text can be bigger.
