This is my first draft for my double page spread. I have not used my own images in my drafts.
I have changed the opacity of the Union Flag on the side where there will be most text, this is so i will not have to use a bright florescent yellow to make the text clear.
Iv'e made the main image a lot smaller so I can fit in the scrapbook idea I have previously mentioned in my blog. I think the scrapbook idea goes along nicely with the article which is about a band member leaving. Also, the text has been changed to black and Iv'e decided upon my fonts. I'm unsure about the red anchorage text however.
I will use this as a template for my final double page spread.
On the actual piece of work I will have more images and they will be relevant to the story.
All of this is not going to be used. The amount of different images and locations was too vast, I could not afford it and I didn't have enough time to be able to have around 10 different shoots. I am now going to look at other ideas for double page spreads that aren't as demanding or time consuming.

Props, Setting and People Needed
A list of props, sets and models needed for the double page spread, contents page and front cover of my music magazine.
I have not used most of these props due to the fact they didn't look right. When my contents page had people all with very similar attire on, it looked as if they were one band. To have an effective contents page I needed three different looking people to make it look more musically diverse. I also tried shooting with a full drum kit. But, this looked stupid. I only used one image with the a drum because this was the only one that worked because it looked to much like a Drummer's magazine rather than a rock magazine.
- A drum kit, one used to play rock and looks at least semi-professional
- A room used to record or practice music in
- A union flag
- Drum sticks
- Broken drum sticks maybe
- T-shirt with rock connotations e.g. with an iconic figure on it or a phrase etc...
- At least two additional models
- The additional model has to have similar attire
I will also need a better quality camera for the photos as they weren't of a brilliant quality, and I will need to use the studio so i can get better lighting conditions for my shoot.

Themes For My Contents Page And Double Page Spread
Initially, the theme i was going to use was a scrapbook theme but, that doesn't suit the "best of british" union Jack theme I chose for my front cover. Instead i will still intend for parts to look like a scrapbook but the colour scheme will have to be changed to the British red, white and blue. However, I cannot again use the union Jack for my contents page as that's about the main article. The contents page needs to detract from the other two yet, keep the colour schemes for purposes of continuity.
